Gulfgate Health Center Replacing HCHD's Ripley Health Center facility, the Gulfgate Health Center opened its doors September 18, 2000, and serves the primary care needs of Harris County residents living in the center's central-southeast Houston area. The Ripley/Gulfgate Health Center staff provides health care services for more than 52,000 patient visits. In addition to regular adult and pediatric services, the Gulfgate Health Center provides obstetrical/gynecological, dental, x-ray, lab, nutrition, health education, pharmacy, psychiatry, counseling and social services.
To schedule an appointment, call 713-526-4243. To ensure appointments go smoothly, be sure to bring your
appointment slip, current Gold Card and all medications you are currently
taking with you. Plan to arrive thirty minutes early. Parking at the
health center is free. Gulfgate
Health Center also houses the City of Houston, Houston Department of
Health and Human Services Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program. The
WIC office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. WIC offices are closed the 1st
