Hospital District to Host Free Community Health Fairs

HOUSTON (June 6, 2008) – The Harris County Hospital District’s community health centers will hold free community health fairs throughout the summer and fall. The health fairs are open to the public and offer residents one-stop convenience for health screenings and immunizations. 

Hospital district staff will provide screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, along with many others.  

Health care professionals and vendors will be on hand to discuss exercise, heart health, stroke prevention, women’s health, and nutrition. Information will be given on exercise, weight-loss plans, smoking cessation, breast cancer, HIV/AIDS, and more.
