HCHD's School of Diagnostic Medical Imaging Accepting Applications HOUSTON (Feb. 4, 2009) – Does the idea of looking inside the human body with high-tech gadgets interest you? If so, perhaps a career in diagnostic medical radiography or sonography is for you. The Harris County Hospital District's School of Diagnostic Medical Imaging is accepting applications for its programs of Diagnostic Medical Radiography and Diagnostic Medical Sonography. “These unique hospital-based programs provide students the valuable opportunity to train with leading-edge technology at Ben Taub and Lyndon B. Johnson general hospitals,” said Cleveland Black, PhD, director, medical imaging education. The deadline for radiography program is March 31. The sonography program's deadline is June 16. Students learn alongside physicians from The University of Texas-Houston Medical School and Baylor College of Medicine at HCHD's Level I and III trauma centers. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend an information session at LBJ Hospital on the following dates in the radiology classroom, first floor, room 1RD-61-008:
