Health Fairs

To educate and encourage people to access their local public healthcare system, the Harris County Hospital District provides promotional healthcare services in community settings such as health fairs at school districts, churches, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and a variety of other civic group locations.

Health fair participants get access to preventive health education and screening services such as cholesterol testing, blood pressure screening, vision testing and child development tests. These programs promote early diagnosis and treatment of disease, educate families on health management topics, and maximize the community's health care agency resources.
