Low-Risk Obstetrical Outreach Services

In an effort to provide culturally sensitive and high-quality maternity services, the Harris County Hospital District staff offers pregnancy testing, education and entry into community-based obstetrical services. These services have been shown to increase the proportion of pregnant women entering prenatal care in their first trimester, provide a mechanism for comprehensive services as needed with triage to high risk obstetrical case management and provide continuity of care for the whole family in the community health center.
