The HCHD Department of Pharmacy prides itself in providing comprehensive, cost-effective pharmaceutical care to its patients through deployment of over 400 full time employees. The Department of Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical care in all patient care settings. These services include unit dose drug distribution, IV admixture preparation, chemotherapy admixtures, investigational drug studies, outpatient prescriptions, disease state management, clinical programs, training and education, and drug information for the patient and other health care providers. All services provided by the Department of Pharmacy are directed towards ensuring the safe and appropriate use of drug therapy in a cost-effective manner. The department has a progressive leadership team in place to support the efforts of employees in offering the best possible care for its patients.

Requirements

Team members should possess these qualities:

  • Licensed in the state of Texas

  • BS or PharmD, Residency training a plus

  • Willingness and motivation to:

    • Apply clinical knowledge to improve community health

    • Interact on a professional level
