Thomas Street Clinic
Specialties
Thomas Street Clinic provides compassionate care to HIV/AIDS patients in
Harris County. Since 1989, the free-standing HIV/AIDS clinic has grown
from 800 patients to 4,400. Our physicians from Baylor College of Medicine
and the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston offer a wide
range of services, including general medicine, outpatient IV therapy,
pharmacy, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, oncology, radiology,
psychiatry, rheumatology and dermatology. Thomas Street Clinic features an
11-bed IV treatment center, which accommodates patients needing blood
transfusions, chemotherapy and similar procedures commonly performed in
hospitals. Because of this, the clinic contributes greatly to the
reduction of emergency cases referred to the Hospital District's Ben Taub
Hospital and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. Our staff offers patients a
“one-stop” approach to meeting their medical and social needs.
